Among the many highlights are tunes not usually heard by Chet, like Blue n’ Boogie (played here in a medley with Buzzy, which was equally elusive in Baker’s discography) and, above all, a poignant version of I Can’t Get Started”, a ballad he only rarely recorded. Featured on piano, Enzo Randisi plays beautifully here in his only recordings with Chet, and one of his very few recordings on piano (his primary instrument was the vibraphone). This release presents a complete unissued live set by the great Chet Baker, recorded in a quartet format in Palermo, Italy, with local musicians.
